Harvey Penick's Little Red Book
$21.00
Harvey Penick was a teacher. He got as much
joy watching a beginner get the ball in the air as he did teaching an eventual
U.S. Open winner. Every time he found something about the swing, stance or the
mental approach that proved to be consistently successful, Harvey Penick made
notes in his little red notebook. He gathered notes for 60 years and let no one
read them, except his son Tinsley, until the publishing of this book. Timeless
wisdom that goes far beyond golf. Instruction is simple and direct, written in
small, easy to pick up and read sections and is easily tracked in the table of
contents. The book is written in an easy and personal style that warms your
heart and makes you love the author. Harvey Penick began his golfing career as a
caddie in 1913 at the Austin Texas Country Club. He later became an instructor
and has instructed many well known pros such as Tom Kite, Ben Crenshaw, Mickey
Wright, Betsy Rawls and Kathy Whitworth. Bud Shrake is a former newspaper
columnist, Sports Illustrated writer and novelist. An absolute must for any
golfer's library.

Hogan's Five Lessons
$12.00
This book covers the Fundamentals, Grip,
Stance, Posture, First & Second part of the swing and a short summary &
review. To quote Ben, "It is utterly impossible for any golfer to play good golf
without a swing that will repeat." Mr. Hogan believes there is no reason why a
golfer can't play in the 70's. This assurance is built on the belief that the
average golfer is capable of building and repeating a swing. Young Texas born
Ben Hogan was a caddie with a dream and a determination to "make it." His first
attempt at the professional golf tour failed. On his second attempt, with only a
few dollars to his name, Ben Hogan's relentless practicing began to pay off. And
so began an eight-year climb to the pinnacle of golf. In the prime of his
career, a crippling automobile accident threatened to end it all. Very few
doctors believed that he would ever walk again, but Hogan risked everything to
once again be a champion, and in doing so, won the hearts of all America.
Preface by Herbert Warren Wind and incredible drawings by Anthony Ravielli.

Who's Your Caddy?
$24.95
Who knows golfers best? Who’s with them every minute of every
round, hears their muttering, knows whether they cheat? Their caddies, of
course. So sportswriter Rick Reilly figured that he could learn a lot about the
players and their games by caddying, even though he had absolutely no idea how
to do it. Amazingly, some of the best golfers in the world – including Jack
Nicklaus, David Duval, Tom Lehman, John Daly, Casey Martin, and Jill McGill –
agreed to let Reilly actually carry their bags at PGA and LPGA Tour events. To
round out his portrait of the golfing life, Reilly also caddied at the Masters,
persuaded Deepak Chopra and Donald Trump to use him as a caddy, accompanied
high-rolling golf hustlers in Las Vegas around the course, and carried the bag
for a blind golfer. Reilly chronicles all his experiences in the same inimitable
style that makes his back-page column for Sports Illustrated a must-read for
more than twenty million people every week. From his laugh-out-loud portrait of
Deepak Chopra decomposing on the green, to his portraits of good ol’ boys who
bet $100,000 a round, to his hilarious descriptions of his own ineptitude as a
caddy, to his insights into what makes the greats of golf so great, Reilly
combines a wicked wit with an expert’s eye in the most original and entertaining
look at golf. This book is the next best thing to a great round of golf. It is
sure to delight low-handicappers, high-handicappers, and everyone in between!
